Yeşilgöz Pothole
Offering pure waters and peerless nature, the Yeşilgöz Pothole is 60 km from the city centre, in the Tekir Quarter. The water is 20 metres deep and connects to the Tekir Creek; the calmly flowing waters allow visitors to listen to the sounds of nature. The nearby recreation area is also very popular, especially in the summer.
Döngel Caves
The caves are 57 km from the city centre. One of the most important caves in the region, the Döngel Caves consist of three connected caverns. It is believed that humans lived in the caves during the Palaeolithic period (BCE 40,000 to 10,000). The caves are 102 metres in height.
